About Your Psychologist

Dr. Daya has a Ph.D in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. She completed her pre-doctoral residency with the Nova Scotia Health Authority in the Adult Mental Health and Addictions Program. Her clinical experience includes community, private practice, and hospital (outpatient and residential) treatment sites. She provides Individual psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic assessment (i.e. diagnostic clarification); and supervision and consultation to student trainees and/or peers.

She is a registered member with the College of Psychologist of Ontario (CPO), the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) and the Ontario Psychology Association (OPA). 

Scope of Practice

My scope of practice includes the treatment of depression, anxiety (i.e. panic attacks, social anxiety, phobias), obsessive-compulsive disorder and related spectrum disorders (i.e. body dysmorphia and trichotillomania), and various forms of T/trauma and adverse experiences.

Treatment modalities can include: CBT, ACT and CPT or PE

I also work with interpersonal and relational difficulties, this includes navigating interpersonal conflict, life transition, grief and loss as well navigating friendships, modern-day dating and strengthening social skills and social support.
